Horse Starting We
evaluate your horse on a week by week basis. The purpose of this is to help clarify what
is expected from the trainer and owner before training commences. This training is progressive in nature and the owner is
responsible for the quantity of training being applied. For quality purposes, training is evaluated and paid on a week by
week basis. This allows both owner and trainer to measure the progress of the horse in a timely manner so as not to frustrate
the horse and cause unneeded expenses to the owner.

HORSE TRAINING/MANUEVERS & CONTROL
Control, suppleness & coordination. Recently I watched the
frustration of a clinic participant whose horse lacked basic control. He was 'tuned-out' to his rider and even
though the horse was slow & lazy, the rider still got hurt. The reason why we work on control is to effect leadership
and develop a work ethic. A horse that tunes us out and is worried about everything is not relying on us as his leader.
We work on control with both the horse and the owner to effectively build a leadership standard. Do you want a soft,
supple and willing partner? How about a horse that has hip & shoulder control so that you can take the correct lead every
time. How about a balanced and straight horse that can walk trot & canter in a straight line and stay in between
the reins. Or how about just building the effectiveness of aids and your horse's work ethic. Whatever the
next step is for you and your horse we can effectively achieve it.
